Friedrich Dick Two-Handed "Beef Splitter" Cleaver
Friedrich Dick Two-Handed "Beef Splitter" Cleaver
There are simply no words to describe the feeling of awesome power that holding this cleaver bestows its wielder. Used historically for splitting the carcasses of large animals for market, the "beef splitter" cleaver is still useful today to the homesteader or small scale seasonal butcher for processing livestock or large game.
The 16" long high carbon stainless steel blade features a distal taper and the unit is surprisingly fast in the hand thanks to the balance this imparts. The thick black polyamide nylon scales are nearly indestructible, rot proof, easily sanitized, and as easy to shape as wood.
If selecting the Special Grade option we will thin the bone-chopping edge to make it more appropriate for woodwork. Please be warned that a thinned Special Grade edge will no longer be suitable for chopping bone.
